April in Paris – part I

After obtaining my first Leica, it seemed only appropriate to put it through its paces in Paris. Although a very Cartier-Bresson-inspired trip for me, my dear wife was probably a bit annoyed with me stopping every few meters to take a pic of something. A lot of shooting from the hip using scale focusing and a million great picture opportunities missed due to my inadequate skills in handling a rangefinder camera, but it was such a joy to be able to carry around my whole 35/50/90mm + M9 kit and shoot so discretely (compared to last year’s trip with the monster that is Nikon D3) …
